The Vision

A cantilevered 15,000-square-foot hilltop estate with unobstructed views from downtown Los Angeles to the Pacific Ocean. The design called for massive steel beams, floor-to-ceiling glass walls, and a seamless indoor-outdoor flow that would redefine modern California living.

The Roderick Approach

Travis Roderick personally managed every phase — from excavating a challenging hillside lot to coordinating structural steel installation that required crane work over neighboring properties. The travertine fireplace wall alone required 14 weeks of precision stone work.

The home features seven distinct living zones connected by a cantilevered walkway that appears to float above the hillside. Each material was sourced directly — Italian travertine, European white oak, hand-poured concrete counters. This is what happens when a builder cares as much about the materials as the architect does.
